Summary of Chapter 12 (Yousuf)

This chapter is one of the 3 chapters (The rest are C20 and C71) that reveal the detailed narration of a single Prophet. Yousuf’s full account is mentioned here.

12:4 – 12:102 narrates his life story.

Last passage (V103-111) breakdown:

Even if the believers ardently wish that their people adopt the message, most of them would not. This is because their priorities are different:

Although no wage is demanded from them, they still do not bother to put an effort into examining it. Secondly, due to their worldly pursuits, they ignore many signs they come across on a daily basis.

Or, even if they happen to believe in a higher power, they ascribe worldly personalities or things to It.

Believers should be cautious of the things mentioned above, and are to call people towards Allah based on reason alone.

Only those who seek to understand would find profound messages in the annihilation of previous communities. Moreover, it is not a fabricated hadith because it confirms the inner self, and is a detailed exposition of everything! It acts as a guide and mercy for a people who seek to believe and become peacekeepers.
